Barcade

Ok, so Harri and I went to Barcade to get rid of all the quarters that keep building up on the floor. This is geek heaven, 80's arcade games and $5 beer. Of course I beat him at every game we played, even if he won't admit it. On the subway ride home I was bored and wrote this poem, read it like geek rap... dedicated to you Harri, haha.

played rush n' attack
until 3am
lost a million in quarters
by half past ten
blisters on my fingers
and an aching head
turned every last one into bleeding red
I down a beer, duck and fire
jump and stab, keep climbing higher
on the high score list
keep changing my name
let everyone know this is my game
'cause you can't beat me at this shit
just check it out
this is the list
1. SUK
2. MY
3. FAT
4. ASS
5. YOU
6. COK

Need a new fur hat?

On my way home I saw thís posted on the subway. Click to zoom.

Just couldn't resist adding some text. Hey, it's cold out there!

Wooo!!!

Just found out my new skate decks are done and up for sale. Designed for the very nice people at Nice Produce in Melbourne. Part of Team Nice and limited as fuck. Only 30 boards of each will ever be made.

The Wall

I painted a wall at the office of Big Spaceship some months ago. Thought I'd do something different from what I usually do, so I did it all in one line with marker pens.

Here's some detail. You can click the images for bigger versions.

Took all weekend to complete but turned out pretty well and they've asked me to do another one. I'm definitly not using the same techinique next time. My arm nearly fell off.

My monkey and me

New hat, old painting but what a fucking painting! I love it, bought it uptown somewhere and can't find my way back there (I want another one). Just had to post a pic of it. I'll give it to my future kids and tell them stories about the first in our bloodline, Baron von Bananabottom and his bad ass band of pranksters, the Pooflinger Mob.

Dinosaur!!!

Dinosaur Jr at Irving Plaza. Glorious feedback, a big fat drummer, an even bigger pink monster and a really boring crowd. I finally got to see J Mascis play. Sick!

Rone in NYC

Rone, of course reppin' November, dropped by from Melbourne to do some damage. Since I'm still living in limbo, sleeping on floors and roofs and sofas I didn't have a bed to offer...

...so he made himself at home on the streets instead, took after the rest of the homeless and put his belongings in a shoppingcart.

...Put up some of paste-ups...1.

...2...

...3 and on to...

...the next.

Earlier we saw this bombed out truck...

...so Rone got a bit inspired.

We actually asked the guard at the parkinglot if we could put up on it... "It's not mine, I don't care", was his reply.

Nice.

We went by the Alife store and got some Krink for Reka. KR's tag is nearly everywhere

Some skate company had a show in Soho. Swoons deck was probably my favourite. She was sitting in a corner cutting paper through the entire show.

Some of Swoon's streetwork.

Sync was here about a month earlier. I had nowhere to live and was working all the fucking time so I missed him. But it's been cool following his tracks through the city.

Went to Queens to check out 5 Pointz .

The shit here is sooo nice... oh, and if you don't realize... that's a painted wall you're looking at.

Gotta say that I like the one on the side there better but thought this was a funny homage to the old old old school. Rembrandt had a moppemusche!

We weren't the only tourists... that dude looks German, at least his shorts does.

Some nice rats too...

Matt & Kim

A while back I went to see some bands play in Williamsburg. Matt & Kim blew me away, awesome! Definitly a new favourite of mine. Now go download some of their songs from their spot on MySpace. You know you want to.

On the way home and all night it was pouring down. Nalle could barely hold on to his umbrella...

Who took the fun out of funeral?

Come on people, put the fun back in!

Found a new favourite café... you probably have to be Swedish to get that one.

Bangkok

Fuck! Gimme a break, I'm working on it, I told ya already!

Seoul

Eh, yeah... in time...

Taipei

Yeah yeah, working on it...

Hong Kong

Photos by Akila Berjaui, Logan Hicks and myself.

We arrived in the evening, so Jason took us for a late dinner at this really fancy restaurant. Nothing says class more than toilet paper rolls under the tables. There was also a sign on the wall saying "Please do not spit on the floor". But the food was nice.

And of course the dishes were washed on the sidewalk.

This is Jimmy's hometown, so he showed us around and took us shopping. Logan bought a camera only to break it less than a minute later. I bought one too but waited until the evening before I broke mine. There's something about cameras, gravity and asphalt that just dont mix.

Toys! Tim bought a whole bunch of cool stuff for his son and well, yeah, himself too.

I found this crazy ass mini Hitler, how insane is that? Of course I just had to have it.

We took a boat to another boat for lunch. It was huge and the food... mmm...

Three kings... or something. They forced us, ok?

Time for work. Tim in front of his paintings being interviewed by Hong Kong press.

Another excellent meal was had on top of a hill overlooking the city.

The following day was showtime.

They had made these huge banners but Tim made another one so people would find us. It's the name of his old Sydney crew...

Oh yeah, someone put a hole through one of my paintings... it wasn't this guy though, it was...

Logan "hammerhead" Hicks. I'm gonna get that engraved. It came off by accident when we were trying to hang the paintings, flew in beutiful slowmotion through the air and smashed through my painting. I nearly died.

We got quite a crowd after a while.

And inside...

While we waited for our turn...

The locals got things started.

...and so did Michelle.

Tim and logan...

Nice and tidy.

My style is a bit more messy...

I'm sure I wasn't the only one who got paint stains all over.

Finishing touches...

And voila, there it is. Done and sold. Thanks Roweena!

And then the cops came...

I did my best to charm them, offering a drink.

While Jason waited outside, looking hot!

We figured it was about time to take the party elsewhere. I have no idea what that dude is carrying but it looks mad heavy.

Logan looks terrified at the prospect of another drink.

Somewhere around this time it was my turn to break my new camera. Broke my watch at the same time, just to have one up on Logan.

The ride to the airport was beautiful, the nature amazing.

Found the weirdest name for a mag at the airport.

And of course...
